Sydney Opera and Birding Tour

We are planning a trip to New South Whales, Australia for birding, including several visits to see operas at the Sydney Opera house for September 2026.

This will be a two part tour:  

Part one is for Opera and Birding:  This will be a 8-day tour.  We will attend several operas in the evening, and go birding during the day.  Birding will be in and around the Sydney area, plus travel to birding areas that are within a 1-hour drive from Sydney.  We will stay at the same hotel for the week.  

Part two is for Birding only:  This will be a 10-day tour for birding areas outside of the Sydney to areas that are within a 3-hour drive from Sydney.  We will be moving to a new hotel every 2 - 3 days. 

If you are not an opera fan, you can still join part one of the tour and skip the evening events. 

You can sign-up for for tours, which includes one day in between, which will make for a 19-day tour.
